Visit a Texas Beach in December? Yes - You absolutely should. Port Aransas Christmas events make Port Aransas THE place to be in December.
First up - you must see Santa in the Park on December 2nd. This event includes the tree lighting, the annual golf cart parade, a light show, food, games & much more!
Then December 7th from 4 to 6 PM is the annual Pancake Dinner With Santa at the VFW. Did I mention it's all you can eat? Adults $12, Children 5-12 are $5, and Kids 4 and under eat free! https://www.facebook.com/vfwauxiliary8967portaransas
The annual lighted boat parade makes a return on December 9th at 6 PM. This year, for the first time in Port A, will be a holiday themed drone show. I've never seen a drone show before before but I'm not planning to miss this event! And, you must head to the "after party" at the Palm Social Club. Ruben V, a grammy nominated artist, will perform on the outdoor stage immediately after the drone show. https://thepalmsocialclub.com/
If you are in the mood for a holiday movie, come aboard the Polar Express! Ok - hang with me here. The Polar Express will be playing at the Port Aransas Community Theatre. AND YOU CAN ENJOY WATCHING IN YOUR PJ'S! That's right -- it's a pajama party. Seating is limited so make your reservations early. https://www.portaransascommunitytheatre.com/
There are many more events I did not include here, so check out https://www.portaransas.org/events/holiday/ for a complete list of all happenings in Port Aransas.
But, before you leave this page, don't forget that you must end the year with fireworks. And there is an awesome opportunity to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks show over the water at Roberts Point Park. The show should start shortly after it gets dark.
Thanks for reading and I wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for 2024!
